This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.OverviewWe are seeking a Gas Reservoir Engineer with Underbalance Coil-Tubing Drilling experience to join the Gas Reservoir Management Department.The Gas Reservoir Management Department is responsible for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from Saudi Aramco conventional non-associated gas reservoirs to meet the committed gas demand in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible manner by deploying optimal field development strategies and leveraging best-in-class technologies and operational practices.As a Gas Reservoir Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support for Underbalance Coil-Tubing Drilling (UBCTD) operations with an advanced steering decision-making process through monitoring real-time reservoir properties.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize real-time dynamic data and flow parameters from the well-while-drilling to identify target reservoir layers and ensure accurate well placement.Capitalize on Geosteering expertise in the well landing phase with real-time formation top picking support.Capitalize on Geological Operations Department chemostratigraphy reports to predict reservoir quality based on advanced mud logging analysis.Coordinate with Reservoir Description & Simulation Department to generate petrophysical logs while drilling for enhanced lateral placement.Implement technologies & enhanced processes for UBCTD operations.Provide guidance and oversight on best-in-class reservoir management tenets, practices, and state-of-the-art technologies for all Saudi Aramco non-associated gas assets.Formulate reservoir development, data acquisition, strategic surveillance, and monitoring master-plans to ensure optimal development and depletion strategies.Utilize reservoir management standards and guidelines to enhance both Net Present Value (NPV) and hydrocarbon recovery.Prepare reservoir engineering input into drilling and work-over proposals and programs.Participate in technical societies/groups.Train and mentor young engineers.Minimum RequirementsBachelor degree in engineering from an accredited university. Advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 12 years of experience in a petroleum engineering organization with 7 years of Reservoir Engineering experience along with any combination of Drilling Engineering, Geosteering experience, Coil-Tubing field experience, or Petrophysical Logging experience in natural gas/gas-condensate reservoir.Training history of appropriate specialized courses and seminars.Ability to work in a "work-shift" schedule in the office for reservoir engineering support and ready to address any operational-related situations round the clock that require swift decision making.Ability to interact and communicate effectively with specialists in geology, fluid analysis, petrophysics, drilling, production, and surface facilities.Demonstrate technical contribution in Petroleum and Reservoir engineering knowledge sharing through reputable international publications, technology patents, and mentoring programs.Working EnvironmentOur high-performing employees are drawn by the challenging and rewarding professional, technical, and industrial opportunities we offer, and are remunerated accordingly.At Aramco, our people work on truly world-scale projects, supported by investment in capital and technology that is second to none.
