Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced and driven Estimation Section Manager to join our team

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
Analyze project data to estimate required time, materials, labor, and overall costs for various construction initiatives.
Develop, manage, and oversee project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and project requirements.
Ensure all cost estimations comply with project and corporate financial parameters.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
20 years of experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering within the construction and engineering sectors.
Proven ability to analyze project specifications and drawings to accurately determine project scope and associated costs.
Proficiency in industry-standard estimation tools such as Bluebeam, CostX, or similar software.
Deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant industry standards.
Proficient in project management software and the full MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, etc.).
Strong knowledge of financial principles, including cost control, budgeting, and value engineering.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Familiarity with advanced estimation and project planning software, including Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Experience using integrated cost control and project management platforms.
Sector-specific expertise in one or more of the following: commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Understanding of sustainable building practices and green construction standards.
At least 50% of your experience should be within multinational organizations, showcasing your ability to work in diverse, high-performance environments.
Prepare and submit comprehensive tender documents and competitive bid proposals.
Evaluate and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with scope and budget.
Participate in strategic negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
