Traveling Construction Superintendent

Place Services, Inc. has several immediate needs for Traveling Construction Superintendents in our West Region (WA, UT, AZ, NV, CO). We have an office in Denver, CO and service the other locations.Ability to travel up to 80% of the time if needed, able to work Friday thru Saturday if needed, and have a valid driver's license.This position will be primarily focused on supervising, inspecting, and approving day-to-day operations of the General Contracting Division projects.Who We Are:Place Services Inc. is a leading commercial construction company based in Canton, Georgia. Place Services Inc. contributes to your 401K upon your eligibility to participate in the program and offers a generous PTO program along with paid holidays.What You'll Do:Supervise, inspect and approve day to day operations of commercial construction projectsCompleting all required on-site paperworkCoordinating construction project with store management, subcontractors, and PSI employeesRepresenting PSI with professionalism and integritySchedule, manage, and assist, as needed, subcontractorsPrepare and manage look ahead schedulesSet expectations of subcontractors and hold them accountable for resultsProvide direct accountability for job safety reporting and documentationComplete reports and documentation required or requested by managementInspect and secure job site to prevent damages and theftEnsure a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety standardsEstablish sequence & manner to carry out work, consistent with Project Manager's direction and to keep the project on scheduleAbility & willingness to study, understand, direct, perform, based on construction drawingsPrepare and document job meetings, safety meetings, reports, daily pictures & logsBe willing to physically work as neededAlways be willing to accomplish any other task that may be required at any given timeWho You Are:Excellent with Details - able to catch small errors and consistently produce work with nearly 100% accuracy; focus on quality.Team Player - we over me mentality; considers how actions will impact the whole group.Effective Communicator - strong in both verbal and written modes; displays professionalism in all circumstances to represent the company well.Flexible - understands the shifting business priorities and pivots easily to change.Continuous Improvement - displays a personal desire to learn and grow; contributes new ideas to the company for improvement.What You Bring:7+ years of prior construction superintendent experience requiredRead and understand drawings and specs, and ensure that all scopes are completed in accordance with prints and specsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong phone and computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and sending of photosOSHA 10 hour, basic first aid & CPR trainingWork at night if requiredLearn quickly and make educated decisions as required to maintain a scheduleSolid work ethic with the willingness to do what is needed to complete the job and remain on scheduleMust be able to understand the projects from start to finish and anticipate potential problemsManage both subcontractors and PSI employeesCommunicate with clients and provide them with project details, as well as keep them fully updated with the scheduleIdentify and solve problemsManage Actual schedule, including two-week lookaheadsThe ability to lift 75 lbs.The ability to transfer 130 lbs. a distance of 12 feet with the help of another person.The ability to work outdoors in diverse environments.The ability to ascend and descend ladders and other elevated structures.Must be able to work at heights from an elevated aerial deviceAt Place Services Inc., we embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
