Job Title Planning Engineer (Infrastructures) Job Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Engineer (Infrastructures) to join our team In this role, you will be responsible for performing planning/scheduling activities related to Infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Review and convey the Engineer’s consent to the Contractors’ Baseline schedule of works in line with Contract conditions, and using Parsons Recommended Practices. Validate the compatibility of project resources for timely completion of the project. Develop a Master Schedule integrating multiple packages, considering their interdependencies to identify and reflect the impact of one schedule/project on others. Evaluate & verify the planning and scheduling information from updated/progress schedules; identify potential delay/slippage, highlight critical events and suggest mitigation measures or corrective actions. Exercise "What if" analysis to assess the time impact of changes, variations and potential events early, and provide alternative courses of action & advice before issuing instructions to contractors. Prepare regular progress reports/monthly reports with program analysis and recommendations, address program issues to ensure timely project completion, and prepare presentations regarding the work’s progress concerning interim and major milestones. Perform detailed assessment of claims including Extension of Time, Disruption, etc., using leading delay analysis methodologies such as time impact analysis & window analysis to demonstrate the contractor’s concurrent delay. Discuss, coordinate, and resolve planning and scheduling problems with contractors and the employer. Coordinate with the client to finalize contractors’ programs, reports, and claims. Attend various meetings (kick‑off, technical, service coordination, progress review, etc.), provide valuable inputs, and prepare concise & precise minutes of meetings. Prepare trackers/logs to monitor critical issues during the design and construction stages of the project. Agree on the progress measurement system (PMS) and key indicators with consultants/contractors during the project for monitoring purposes. Communicate clearly to conduct presentations to management and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals. Provide reasoned & analytic responses to contractor notices and detailed particulars using programming data, sound construction practices, and contractual provisions. Maintain proper record keeping of project contemporary records. Issue delay notices for the contractor’s culpable delay and/or slow performance letters, recording areas where the contractor’s performance is behind schedule. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized university/institution. Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects related to roads, bridges, dredging & reclaiming, sewerage networks, etc. Proficiency in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Must be registered as a practicing engineer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or possess a UAE Equivalency Certificate.
