Job Title: Aboriginal Health Specialist
Overview:
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is a leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, comprising four service areas. We are seeking suitably experienced and passionate individuals to join our Aboriginal Health Team as an Aboriginal Health Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in identifying Aboriginal Health needs and developing appropriate programs.
• Promote and demonstrate effective communication with clients, families, and communities as part of the Child & Adolescent Community Health – Aboriginal Health Team.
• Provide health promotion activities through individual and/or group participation.
• Work with other members of the health team to ensure access to disease control services.
• Maintain accurate and secure records while ensuring confidentiality of client information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We require applicants to have relevant work experience and a passion for providing culturally appropriate healthcare to the Aboriginal community. As an Aboriginal Health Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting health and well-being among Aboriginal people, consistent with primary health care principles.
