Join Our Team:

We're seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Cloud Native Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge container images and play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our container image strategy.

You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design and implement automated CI/CD processes for container image creation, testing, and deployment. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality container images that meet the needs of our users.

About The Role:

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing tools and technology for building and maintaining new generation container images
  • Working with multiple teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality container images that provide a seamless Ubuntu user experience
  • Implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery automation around container images
  • Contributing to fast-moving products like Rocks (OCI images) and Chisel
  • Participating in strong engineering processes through code and architectural review
  • Engaging with the open-source community as a subject-matter expert
  • Growing knowledge base and writing documentation

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about software development
  • A team player with experience in collaborative development
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse CI)
  • A track record of delivering timely, high-quality software
  • Experience with container images and containerized operations
  • Mastery of at least one container management/orchestration tool (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Significant experience with Go
  • Experience with Linux systems administration and package management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field
