Cesvi Fondazione Onlus is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our country program in Venezuela. As the Head of Country Program, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of our programs and procedures in the country.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international development and humanitarian work, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within a complex country program. They will also have extensive experience of working within a fragile state or protracted crisis, with a proven track record of managing multi-donor and multi-site programs.

The Head of Country Program will report to the Regional Manager and will be responsible for coordination and representation with stakeholders, donors, institutions, local and international partners. They will also lead in the definition and development of the country program strategy, and will be responsible for the implementation of safeguarding policies and security management.

The successful candidate will have a university degree or postgraduate degree in international development, humanitarian sector, or a related field, and will be fluent in English and Spanish. They will also have strong project writing skills, with the ability to develop policies, plans, and strategies for implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and overall supervision of the country's programs and procedures
  • Proposal writing and donor relations
  • Acting in accordance with national legislation
  • Leading in the definition and development of the country program strategy
  • Coordination and representation with stakeholders, donors, institutions, local and international partners
  • Implementation of safeguarding policies and security management

Requirements:

  • University degree or postgraduate degree in international development, humanitarian sector, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior management role within a complex country program
  • Extensive experience of working within a fragile state or protracted crisis
  • Proven track record of managing multi-donor and multi-site programs
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Strong project writing skills

Desirable:

  • Post degree specialization in international cooperation, protection, or GBV
  • Previous working experience in Venezuela and/or other Latin American countries
  • Previous experience in implementing humanitarian projects in partnership with local NGOs and in capacity building of local entities
  • Previous experience in risky and hostile countries/environments
