We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Associate to join our team at UNDP Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial management advisory services, managing staff and accounting operational systems, and ensuring compliance with financial rules and regulations.

About the Role

The Finance Associate will work closely with the Programme Management Unit (PMU) and Operations team to ensure successful implementation and oversight of Programme resources and performance in financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the PMU in preparing forecasts and periodical Disbursement Requests for submission to the Global Fund
• Monitor financial exception reports and investigate anomalies or unusual transactions
• Provide advice and guidance to UNDP CO staff and consultants on overall financial and asset management
• Ensure proper control of Programme accounts and cash management
• Facilitate capacity building and knowledge sharing in financial management and asset management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Secondary education with specialized certification in accounting and/or finance
• Minimum 6 years of experience in providing financial management advisory services and/or managing staff and accounting operational systems
• Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Fluency in Spanish is required, good command of English is desirable
