Staff Attorney

About the Position

IIBA seeks an experienced and passionate Staff Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our removal defense program, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of low-income immigrants and refugees. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to promoting justice, equity, and inclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Counsel and represent clients in immigration proceedings.
• Conduct workshops, clinics, and outreach activities to educate the community on immigration-related topics.
• Develop and implement effective case management strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in immigration laws and policies.

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-certified law school or international equivalent.
• Current Bar Membership in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in immigration law, preferably representing clients in removal proceedings.
