Senior Data Strategist

As a key member of the Trulia Data Science team at Zillow Group, you will be an integral partner to the broader Growth Product team, working to acquire and activate high-quality users across our platforms. The Trulia DS team is an impactful ensemble of multiple business functions, including SEO, Integrated Communications, and Onsite Testing, which acquire and engage millions of users. Your role will involve analyzing large datasets from various sources to inform short and long-term decision-making.
About the Role
You will analyze customer interactions with our platforms, using insights to advise design and product development. Your expertise will shape the long-term vision of our product ecosystem, influencing decision-makers with compelling data stories and visualizations. As a mentor and resource to other data scientists, you will host learning academies and author detailed documentation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with product and engineering teams to craft a long-term customer strategy
- Using sophisticated analytics techniques, including clustering, propensity modeling, and causal inference, to understand customer behavior
- Designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B experiments with statistical precision
- Collaborating with fellow Data Scientists to build and improve the DS infrastructure (ETLs, dashboards, experimentation platform, tracking, etc.)

You are a data and analytics expert, with a passion for transforming the home-buying experience. You are a creative problem-solver, enthusiastic about seeking new solutions and opportunities. Your skills and experience include a strong understanding of statistical concepts, proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and visualization tools, and experience working with large datasets. You are a strong communicator, able to distill complex issues into simple, structured frameworks with concrete action plans. You are a team player, able to work across silos and influence business partners to set realistic goals and focus on data-driven solutions.
