Mission Leader

Job Summary

Cesvi Fondazione Onlus is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Head of Mission in Venezuela.

This is a unique opportunity to lead our country programme and contribute to the implementation of our projects in emergency and protection, including child protection and prevention of SGBV.

Main Responsibilities

• 
  
• Programme Management: Coordinate and supervise the country's programmes and procedures, ensuring effective implementation and compliance with organisational standards.
  
• Proposal Writing and Donor Relations: Develop high-quality proposals and maintain excellent relationships with donors, stakeholders, and local partners.
  
• Leadership and Strategy: Lead the definition and development of the Venezuela programme strategy, aligning with organisational goals and objectives.
  
• Representation and Coordination: Represent Cesvi in high-level meetings and coordinate with stakeholders, donors, institutions, and local partners to ensure effective programme implementation.
  
• Security and Safeguarding: Ensure the implementation of Safeguarding policies, including Adult at Risk/Child Safeguarding/PSEAS, and manage security risks in the country.
  
• Human Resources and Management: Manage Cesvi offices, goods, documentation, and procurement, and supervise the coordination of potential office openings.
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Education: University degree or postgraduate degree in International Development, Humanitarian Sector, Psychology, or Social Sciences.
  
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the NGO environment, with extensive experience in senior management roles within complex country programmes.
  
• Skills: Strong project writing skills, ability to develop policies, plans, and strategies, proven leadership and management experience, and solid diplomatic skills.
  
• Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) and high proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken).
