Reinsurance Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Analyst to join our team at American International Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Reinsurance deliverables reports on STAT and USGAAP basis to Head Office and local Insurance Regulator.

• Prepare Reinsurance deliverables reports on STAT and USGAAP basis to Head Office and local Insurance Regulator.
• Prepare monthly OGIS report and periodic management reports for the local GM and CFO.
• Interact with the India Finance Center on topics related to accounting STAT and USGAAP of the Argentinean entity, including OGIS Tape, Intercompany balances report, monthly accounting reinsurance closing process, Blackline - BSR Reconciliations, and Reinsurer statement of accounts.
• Respond to requests from Accenture India Finance Center, external auditors (PwC and EY), and other areas from AIG.
• Support the Venezuelan CFO in the quarterly audit process (AHAC - Argentina).
• Address requests related to AHAC Argentina and NUFIC from other areas of Finance like Treasury, Tax, and Accounting.
• Work with LAC Regional Reinsurance Leader and the NY Reinsurance team in the annual renewal of Reinsurance Contracts.
• Obtain annual Balance Reinsurance confirmations (AIG and 3rd party).
• Prepare and follow up on Intercompany Balances (Reinsurance and Non-Reinsurance).

• Public Accountant with local Insurance Accounting experience.
• Good analytical accounting criteria.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Responsive to time pressure and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to identify, assess, and communicate relevant issues promptly.
• Proactive attitude to process improvement.
• Strong customer service skills.

• Knowledge of the Venezuelan Accounting Insurance Regulator rules.
• Experience in technical activities within a regulated environment.
• Spanish and English proficiency.
• Certified public accountant.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar positions.
