We are building a standard of excellence in the industry for technical documentation and documentation practice at Canonical.

This is your chance to be a part of that, as a Technical Author who will lead the documentation efforts of an engineering team.

  • Create, maintain and improve software documentation
  • Work with engineering team members to help them make effective documentation contributions
  • Influence the development of the product as an expert user
  • Engage with user communities to ensure our documentation meets their needs
  • Help standardize the structure, presentation, style and language of content across products

The ideal candidate has a record of producing excellent documentation and community engagement in open-source software, research or other disciplines.

Demonstrating technical curiosity and having experience of software development contexts are key skills for this role.
