Job DescriptionNuclear Medicine Technologist Overview
Quik Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Obtain and evaluate patient-related information to produce high-quality images.
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-related factors to ensure appropriate image production.
• Provide excellent services to client facilities and patients, ensuring quality care and satisfaction.
• Perform diagnostic studies, selecting the proper technique/protocol to obtain accurate data.
• Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by physicians.
• Operate and manipulate gamma cameras to produce and process images, ensuring safe and efficient procedures.
• Provide safe transfers and assistance to patients, adhering to infection control guidelines.
• Operate equipment safely and according to facility and equipment guidelines, preventing the transfer of infection and blood-borne contaminants.
• Comply with work instructions, meeting quality and quantity criteria for client facilities.
• Adhere to policies and procedures of Quik Travel Staffing and client facilities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications:
• Current License/Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services.
• Possession of a current Healthcare Provider CPR card and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (if required).
