We are committed to empowering security excellence across the globe, and we need a highly skilled Ubuntu Security Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our software security team, you will be responsible for analyzing, fixing, and testing vulnerabilities in Ubuntu packages. You will also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and prioritize issues and track progress. This role involves working closely with other teams in the Ubuntu community and upstream developers to exchange or develop vulnerability patches and ensure that Ubuntu includes the very best security features.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of security principles, experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), and excellent communication skills. You will be skilled in one or more programming languages such as C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, or PHP, and have experience with security assessment and code review. Additionally, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
