WIPO Translator

We are seeking a highly skilled WIPO Translator to join our team at Vgr Elmshorn. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating documents on a wide range of subjects from English and at least one other official UN language into Russian.

1. Translate documents on political, legal, administrative, scientific, and technical subjects.
2. Provide translation and related services during conferences and high-level meetings.
3. Collect, compile, extract, and propose new records or terms to support the development and maintenance of an integrated multilingual terminology database.
4. Perform referencing and research activities to ensure high-quality pre-translation and terminology work.
5. Provide input and support in relation to computer-assisted-translation and terminology (CATT) tools.
6. Carry out first-level quality control of translations to check for typographical and grammatical mistakes.

Requirements:

• First-level university degree in linguistics, translation, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant professional work experience in translation, editing, and using CATT tools.
• Translation experience acquired in an international organization.
• Excellent knowledge of Russian and English, as well as good knowledge of at least one other official UN language.
