Job Description:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and reviewing new and current mechanical engineering designs of basic to moderate complexity. The role requires gathering design requirements, recommending steps to implement reference designs, and performing implementation or design modifications of existing products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Develop chassis and mechanism for full automated and semi-automated machine design using standard 3D CAD tools.\
  • Gather information relating to fixtures, chassis, full automated and semi-automated machine, and mechanism design, and recommend improvements to design that improve cost, simplification-use, or quality.\
  • Perform and analyze mechanical chassis subsystems designs applying key mechanical design development tools and standards.\
  • Analyze automated and semi-automated machine mechanical designs and assembly.\
  • Analyze moderately complex mechanical designs and propose improvements.\
  • Assemble mechanisms and mechanical prototypes and check them for fit/form/functionality.\
  • Work with and manage external suppliers/manufacturers.\
  • Provide support to all safety, health, and environment (EHS) programs and initiatives.\
