Médecins Sans Frontières Belgium is an international humanitarian aid organization that provides assistance in more than 70 countries worldwide. Our team in Venezuela works tirelessly to provide comprehensive support to the local healthcare system, focusing on mother and child health.
The Country Management Team (CMT) is based in Caracas, and our current projects include a comprehensive support program in Northern Anzoátegui State and mobile clinic activities in Delta Amacuro. As a Finance Coordinator, you will be part of the CMT and collaborate closely with our finance team and project teams.
Main Objective: Define, coordinate, and monitor financial strategies, policies, internal control, and all financial administrative and legal issues in the country. Provide accurate, transparent, timely, and reliable financial information to the organization and third parties on the allocation of resources in the projects.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the definition of programs' objectives and strategies, planning, implementing, and monitoring financial operational and budget needs.
- Analyze project budgets to ensure funds are used according to funding contracts and propose corrective actions if needed.
- Implement and supervise financial transaction procedures and systems to ensure transparent and traceable accounting practices.
- Ensure the timely execution and control of monthly/yearly accountancy closure, financial reports, audits, and service contracts for the project site.
- Create awareness about anti-corruption policies and make sure processes are followed in the coordination and project(s).
