Canonical is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to fill the role of Head of Cyber Defense. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our assets and infrastructure, while also contributing to the wider open source community.

Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security best practices, and identifying and mitigating potential security risks.

You will also be responsible for building and leading a high-performing security team, developing and executing effective security strategies, and working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the long-term success of the company.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the open source ecosystem, excellent leadership skills, and hands-on experience with various security tools.
