The Registered Dietitian plays a vital role in the healthcare team, providing essential nutritional counseling services to individuals and families. This position involves collaborating with staff members, developing educational materials, and participating in agency projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develops culturally sensitive tools for nutritional counseling on both normal and therapeutic diets.
- Assesses patient needs, establishes priorities, designs, develops, recommends, updates, implements, and evaluates programs, curriculum, materials, protocol, procedures, and standards for nutrition education/health education.
- Conducts Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) upon physical referrals, documenting accurately and thoroughly in the Participants' electronic health record.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in good standing.
- Current BLS and First Aid required.
- Proficient in computer usage.
