Job Title: Security Specialist

UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for advising the Representative on security duties and responsibilities in accordance with UN and UNICEF Security Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide security risk management and planning advice to the Representative and other stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage security activities at the duty station in close coordination with the UN Security Management System (UNSMS) and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of assessments, procedures, and guidelines, including Security Risk Management (SRM) processes and SRM measures.
  • Provide technical oversight for UNICEF contracted security providers, such as guard services.
  • Develop and conduct security training for UNICEF personnel as required.
  • Monitor and report on security compliance and submit Security Incident Reports (SIRs) as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree in a relevant field, such as security management or international relations.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in global security risk management and/or security analysis.
  • Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Spanish is also required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language of the duty station is an asset.
