Job Description:

The EyeCare Advisor plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional value to our customers by providing outstanding patient care. Ensuring that all patients receive high-quality optometric care is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly (within 30 seconds) and answer phone calls in a friendly manner within 3 rings.
  • Explain required paperwork, tests, products, and services to patients.
  • Review prescriptions carefully, identify special needs, and consult with Optician or Managing Doctor when necessary.
  • Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints quickly.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
  • Handle and file patient records efficiently, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Operate the POS system, inputting customer/patient information accurately.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators
  • Sales skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Familiarity with office and store merchandise
