Hey there We are Scale Up, and we have an exciting opportunity with one of our valued clients in the US who is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer.About the clientOur client is a small, fully remote team specializing in creating top-tier ecommerce experiences on Shopify. They are involved in exciting projects for nationally recognized brands, fast-growing ecommerce startups, and a variety of other companies in between.With a strong focus on design, quality, and a streamlined development process, they’ve consistently delighted clients and grown their agency. Now, they’re seeking an experienced Shopify developer to help continue this tradition and support their clients' evolving needs.About the positionYou’ll collaborate with their client’s design team, who will provide design direction, and you’ll typically be the sole developer on your projects. You will have full ownership of the development process, with your attention to detail and dedication to quality work being both encouraged and rewarded.Why you might enjoy working with our clientFreedom to take pride in your work, with a strong focus on quality.Flexibility to work independently, trusted to deliver your best work.Ownership of projects from a development perspective.Specialization: You'll focus solely on ecommerce and the Shopify platform.Selective client base, ensuring meaningful, high-impact projects.A small, close-knit team where your contributions are seen and valued.Opportunity to work with a skilled, friendly, upbeat team that consistently delivers excellent work and delights clients.You should haveFluent or native English-speaking skills.3+ years of full-time professional experience as a Shopify developer.Expertise in Shopify/Liquid development building Shopify themes from scratch.Proficiency in HTML/CSS/Sass/JS.A solid understanding of good web design (you don’t need to be a designer, but you should understand design principles).Familiarity with responsive web design (RWD) techniques and mobile performance.Ability to write well-structured vanilla JavaScript.Comfort with building front-end templates using JSON APIs.PlusesExperience with backend full-stack development.Prior experience working in a digital agency.Salary and BenefitsCompetitive compensation, including a profit-sharing program.Retirement support: 7-10% of your salary is contributed to a 401K with no matching required.Monthly extra payment to assist with health and insurance costs.Fully remote work environment with flexible schedules.Vacation: Major holidays plus 3 weeks of paid vacation (including the last week of the year), plus 3 personal days.A commitment to work/life balance with 40-hour work weeks.5-year bonus: Paid sabbatical, $3,000 US bonus, and an extra week of PTO.The opportunity to work with the best team you’ve ever collaborated with.Location: This is a remote role, and you can be based anywhere in Latin America, but you must overlap at least 5 hours with US Pacific Time.
