The Substation Construction Manager will lead a team of engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals to meet project goals while ensuring compliance with safety standards, budget constraints, and timelines. This role requires in-depth knowledge of electrical substations, project management, and construction processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the construction of electrical substations, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades.Oversee project planning and coordination, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during all phases of construction.Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of substation construction projects.Review and approve project designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they meet standards and specifications.Provide leadership and direction to a team of construction personnel, ensuring effective communication and a positive working environment.Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or cost overruns.Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays as they arise.Ensure all construction activities align with project goals, including quality control and safety practices.Manage and track project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are within approved limits.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, external contractors, and regulatory agencies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience in construction management, with a focus on electrical substations or similar infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, substation design, and construction practices.Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements for substation construction and operation.Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.Seniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject Management and EngineeringIndustriesUtilities
