Job Description

As a key member of our automation engineering team, the Automation Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for leading the work of entry and journey level technicians in designing and installing automation equipment. This role involves working closely with internal or external assemblers on assembly of the designed equipment, supporting design engineers in drafting design drawings and preparing user manuals, and conducting equipment installation and end user training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the design of automation equipment in respective areas of expertise, including mechanical, electronics, electrical, and software application engineering.
  • Works closely with internal or external assemblers to ensure successful assembly of designed equipment.
  • Supports design engineers in drafting design drawings and preparing user manuals for automation equipment.
  • Conducts equipment installation and end user training to ensure seamless integration of automation technologies.
  • Ensures all engineering time is accurately logged into tracking systems corresponding to project requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electronics, electrical, and software application engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of EMS industries and automation equipment assembly and installation procedures.
  • Ability to lead the work of entry and journey level technicians and provide guidance on automation engineering best practices.
Education and Experience Requirements

A minimum of a two-year technical degree in mechanical or electronics/electrical engineering, along with a minimum of 7-8 years of progressively responsible experience in automation equipment assembly and installation, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
