Job Summary

This pivotal role will oversee the development of a comprehensive capital facilities plan, ensuring that our campus infrastructure aligns with our academic and artistic mission. The successful candidate will bring a unique blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit to this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a long-term capital facilities plan, incorporating input from various stakeholders and considering the institution's growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design, plan, and manage capital projects, ensuring alignment with CalArts' values and goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including community groups, government agencies, and industry organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while upholding CalArts' commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in capital facilities planning and development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a talent for building and maintaining strong relationships.
