Job Description:

The Government of Western Australia Department of Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Community Health team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to children and adolescents, promoting health and wellbeing through evidence-based practice.
  • Deliver safe, competent standards of nursing practice, adhering to policies, standards, and clinical protocols.
  • Conduct immunisation services for children and adolescents, recognising actual and potential adverse events.
  • Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation, adhering to health service standards and policies.
  • Assess the holistic needs of individuals, families, and population groups, guided by primary health care principles and social determinants of health.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or indefinite visa (for permanent appointments).
  • Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check subject to this position.

Selection Criteria:

  • Essential Selection Criteria outlined in the attached Job Description Form.
  • Written application demonstrating relevant skills and experiences in detail.

Requirements:

  • Clinical knowledge and experience in the practice setting/specialty (preferably related to immunisation).
  • Ability to include CAHS values of Respect and Collaboration in current clinical practice.
