Strategic Capital Facilities Planner at Aaae

The Associate Vice President of Capital Facilities Planning will provide expert leadership in the ongoing development of California Institute of the Arts' campus.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a new capital facility master plan, the first since the Institute's inception, and subsequent triannual progress reviews and updates to the plan.
  • Ensure that the planning and design of all capital projects are functional, environmentally sustainable, appropriately scoped, well-designed, and cost-effective.
  • Serve as CalArts' chief design official and building official, maintaining CalArts' aesthetic standards and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and 10+ years of capital facilities planning experience.
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders, handle multiple challenges, and collaborate across teams.
  • Proven excellence as a financial steward and working knowledge of facilities management.
  • Commitment to equity and ability to foster a community culture of inclusiveness.
