Strategic Facilities Leader for California Institution

About the Role

Aaae seeks a highly accomplished Strategic Facilities Leader to oversee the development of its campus. The ideal candidate will provide expert leadership in capital facilities planning, ensuring the ongoing development and maintenance of the institution's physical space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and day-to-day direction of all capital facilities planning needs
  • Manage project planning and design for major and minor capital projects, including remodels, renovations, and new constructions
  • Ensure that the planning and design of capital projects are functional, environmentally sustainable, and cost-effective
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, approximately $10 million
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community leaders and local public officials
  • Supervise a team of professionals, including facilities management staff and contractors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in capital facilities planning and development
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven financial stewardship and ability to manage complex projects
  • Familiarity with safety management and technology integration in facilities projects
  • Commitment to equity and inclusivity in a dynamic work environment

Location: This role is based in California, offering opportunities to collaborate with local communities and organizations.

Estimated Salary: $132,000 per year
