Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Project Engineer to support and coordinate the construction of various water and sewer infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpretation of project specifications and drawings
  • Providing document control
  • Assisting in processing and reviewing RFI's, Submittals, and Shop Drawings prepared by the contractor
  • Maintaining change order logs
  • Preparing weekly project meeting agendas and documenting meetings
  • Coordinating communication between the contractor, design engineer, stakeholders, and owner
  • Performing field inspections for compliance with contract documents
  • Preparing sketches and assembling data for the design engineer's use
  • Preparation of daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by the contractor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in construction management/inspection or design, preferably in the water/wastewater industry
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn construction-specific software

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Hazen offers comprehensive dental, vision, and health insurance, 401k, bonuses, and other benefits.
