We are seeking a Geomechanics / Rock Mechanics Engineer to join the Gas Strategy & Technical Support Department.

The department is responsible for setting the strategy of gas programs, balancing sales gas supply and demand, monitoring gas programs, providing AI/digitalization solutions, and managing engineering work for subsurface strategic gas storage.

• Perform geomechanically analysis and modeling to support various oil and gas operations such as well design, drilling optimization, borehole stability, and sand production.
• Collect, interpret, and integrate geomechanically data from various sources, including well logs, core tests, seismic surveys, stress measurements, and field observations.
• Develop and calibrate geomechanically models using software tools such as Abaqus, FLAC3D, Petrel, or VISAGE.
• Evaluate and quantify the effects of geomechanically processes on reservoir behavior, fluid flow, and well performance.
• Provide geomechanically recommendations and solutions to mitigate risks and enhance opportunities for oil and gas extraction.

• Bachelor of science in petroleum engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a petroleum engineering organization, with 10 years of relevant experience in rock mechanics or geomechanics engineering in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of rock mechanics or geomechanics principles, theories, and applications.
• Proficient in using rock mechanics or geomechanics software tools such as Abaqus, FLAC3D, Petrel, or VISAGE.
