Regional Humanitarian Coordinator

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient, and dynamic Regional Humanitarian Coordinator to lead the implementation and coordination of humanitarian efforts in Venezuela. The role involves strategic planning, information analysis, and sharing among key stakeholders, including UN agencies, donors, embassies, INGOs, NNGOs, and civil society organizations.
As a Regional Humanitarian Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the regional humanitarian strategy and work plan.
- Strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring effective coordination and representation at regional and international levels.
- Preparing and managing budgets aligned with approved activities and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders.
This position is critical in addressing humanitarian issues in Venezuela, particularly in areas such as access, advocacy, and enhanced coordination. You will facilitate strategic planning, advocacy, and coordination among stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and representation of the region's interests nationally, at regional, and international levels.
The ideal candidate should have minimum five years of experience in similar roles in coordination, preferably in Venezuela or within complex/volatile contexts. They should possess proven expertise in advocacy and coordination, fluency in Spanish, and proficiency in English (C1-C2). Additionally, they should have experience in developing and implementing coordination strategies and plans, preparing budgets for humanitarian donor activities, and familiarity with key actors in the humanitarian response within the country.
