Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the team, providing strategic guidance on substantive, logistic, administrative, and security matters.
  • Analyze and report on humanitarian response and developments, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead complex projects, coordinating international humanitarian assistance for emergency situations.
  • Support the production of appeals for international assistance and ensure donor contributions are utilized effectively.
  • Organize inter-cluster meetings and align with Humanitarian Country Team priorities.
  • Collaborate with national government counterparts to enhance capacity-building for emergency situations.
  • Initiate and coordinate technical cooperation activities in disaster response.
  • Analyze new technologies for disaster management and introduce innovative solutions.
  • Prepare studies on humanitarian and emergency relief issues, informing policy decisions.
  • Partner with humanitarian agencies to plan and evaluate assistance programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with government officials and organizations.
