Job Overview:

This role involves leading sourcing activities for multiple stakeholders and categories, utilizing strategic thinking, analytical skills, and experience with procurement processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Create RFQs or organize competitive biddings from various suppliers to meet business requirements.
  2. Evaluate supplier performance through regular assessments and reviews.
  3. Manage day-to-day procurement activities, including competitive bidding, sourcing/RFx processes, cost-saving initiatives, and commercial negotiations.
  4. Collaborate with business unit stakeholders and existing suppliers to optimize procurement by driving supplier consolidations and cost reduction initiatives.
  5. Work with the existing supplier base to drive continuous improvement in key metrics such as lead time, service level, quality, payment terms, inventory, and total cost of ownership.
Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of strategic sourcing experience, including RFQ/RFP execution and reverse auction.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large data sets using Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Experience calculating total cost of ownership for goods and services.
  • ERP system expertise, preferably SAP.
Prior Experience:
  • Sourcing experience for equipment repair and maintenance, equipment rentals, and general MRO materials.
  • Professional Certification, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management.
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba and Lean Sigma Six Green Belt or similar certification.
  • Experience leading supplier negotiations.
