The role of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is crucial in the healthcare industry, where they perform diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtains and evaluates patient-related information to produce accurate images
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific requirements to produce high-quality images
- Provides exceptional services to client facilities and patients
- Performs diagnostic studies; selects the most suitable technique/protocol to obtain optimal data
- Administers intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by the physician
- Operates and manipulates gamma camera to produce and process images
- Provides safe transfers and assistance to patients
- Ensures the safe operation of equipment according to guidelines
- Prevents the transfer of infection and blood-borne contaminants
- Complies with work instructions and meets quality and quantity criteria of client facilities
- Complies with policies and procedures of Quik Travel Staffing and client facilities
- Performs tasks independently and professionally
- Maintains current skills to perform duties efficiently and effectively
- Ensures compliance with all applicable client facility, JCAHO, Federal, State, and County regulations
Requirements:
- Holds a current License/Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services
- Must have CA License IN HAND to Apply
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR card and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification if required
