Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist with the Child and Adolescent Health Service, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality assessment and treatment services to infants, children, and young people with developmental concerns. This may involve:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and goals of individuals and families
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans that promote optimal health and well-being outcomes
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication

You will also have opportunities to contribute to the development of new programs and services, participate in research and quality improvement initiatives, and engage in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong clinical expertise and experience in occupational therapy, particularly in the area of child development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • A strong commitment to the values of compassion, collaboration, equity, respect, excellence, and accountability

Eligibility requirements for this role include Australian citizenship or permanent residency, a tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
