As a Technical Leadership Manager - Observability, you will play a key role in shaping our engineering roadmap and driving the development of our observability stack.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant community of engineers passionate about open source software, Linux, Kubernetes, and Observability. You will lead a distributed team of engineers and be responsible for managing our observability portfolio. Your main focus will be on organizing and leading the team's processes to achieve its objectives.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage a distributed team of engineers and its observability portfolio
- Organize and lead the team's processes to help it achieve its objectives
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with team members
- Identify and measure team health indicators
- Interact with a vibrant community
- Review code produced by other engineers
- Attend conferences to represent Canonical and its Observability Stack

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an exceptional individual with a proven track record of professional experience in software delivery. You should have professional software development experience, preferably with a track record in open source. You will also need excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.

What We Offer
Canonical offers a distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person. We provide personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year and annual compensation review. You will also receive recognition rewards and annual holiday leave.
