About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our Engineering team at BairesDev. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing solutions, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with application developers to create strong software products.
  • Write and maintain scripts, such as Python and shell, that automate tech operations.
  • Provide in-depth documentation of system adjustments, optimizations, and additions using Infrastructure as Code methods.
  • Provide hands-on system administration support for the development and test platforms.
  • Provide upgrade support, product configuration, configuration management, testing, documentation, monitoring, and problem resolution of the system.
  • Set up configurations for network, database, and high availability services, besides designing and developing OS system configurations for software packages.
  • Develop an infrastructure to provide support to all business requirements.
  • Monitor everyday systems and evaluate availability of all server resources.
  • Work with development teams to deploy software and define best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years Unix/Linux Systems Administration/Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Ansible, and/or C for Linux.
  • Previous experience with Windows is a plus.
  • Working experience leading projects.
  • Advanced English level.
