About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Aboriginal Health Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing culturally appropriate health care to the Aboriginal community, consistent with a primary health care philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying Aboriginal Health needs and developing appropriate programs.
  • Promote effective communication with clients, families, and communities as a member of the Child & Adolescent Community Health – Aboriginal Health Team.
  • Provide health promotion activities through individual and/or group participation.
  • Work with other members of the health team to ensure access to appropriate disease control services.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records of client information.

Requirements:

  • Must be of Aboriginal descent.
  • Strong understanding of cultural differences and their impact on healthcare delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
