About the Role:
Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Associate Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Support Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level technical support to customers via telephone, email, and web
- Own and manage technical support cases from problem qualification to full resolution
- Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues
- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and maintain existing articles
- Draft and distribute technical notices for internal and external communication
- Prioritize work to accomplish the most important and urgent tasks first
- Stay up-to-date with product and service developments to provide accurate information to customers
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the team, locally and remotely
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and suggest improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university
- Experience with Linux troubleshooting and server administration
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, including provisioning, monitoring, and orchestration
- Knowledge or experience with virtualization, containers, storage technologies, and networking
- Programming fundamentals in any language
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a customer-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
