Job Title: Head of Office, FTA, NOD, Caracas, VenezuelaJob Summary:The Head of Office is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of UNFPA activities in Venezuela. This position requires a strong leader who can manage a team of technical, programme and operations personnel to achieve high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of programme design, management, and leadership, with experience in international development and population and/or Reproductive Health. The Head of Office will work closely with the Country Director and other stakeholders to develop and implement programmes that respond to national priorities and efforts to advance the ICPD Programme of Action and in support of the SDGs achievement.Key Responsibilities:Programme leadership, planning and managementExternal relationships and resource mobilizationLeading and managing the country teamAadopting the Triple Nexus ApproachRequirements:Advanced degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Public Health, Medicine, Sociology, Demography, Gender Studies, International Relations, International Development, Economics, Public Administration, Management or other related fieldAt least seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the field of international development, preferably in the area of population and/or Reproductive HealthDemonstrated ability to refine programme design to ensure alignment of organizational programme objectives to national priorities/capacitiesProven ability to lead and manage teams to achieve demonstrable resultsExcellent written and oral communication skills to represent the organization and foster high-level strategic partnershipsExperience in high-level advocacy and policy dialogue, as well as Resource Mobilization and Partnership developmentWhat We Offer:UNFPA provides a work environment that reflects the values of gender equality, diversity, integrity and healthy work-life balance.
