Senior Sales and Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives.
  • Pursue new business opportunities in target markets, including startups, corporate offices, and design firms.
  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team, including recruiting, training, and mentoring sales representatives.
  • Establish strong relationships with key customers, architects, and designers to drive business development.
  • Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create impactful sales collateral, presentations, and promotional campaigns.

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee the end-to-end operations process, including supply chain management, inventory control, order fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Implement operational systems and processes to scale the business efficiently as it grows.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts to optimize costs and service levels.
  • Develop and monitor key operational metrics, such as order accuracy, delivery times, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Customer Experience & Retention:

  • Drive a customer-centric culture by ensuring that every interaction with the company delivers exceptional service.
  • Handle escalated customer issues, ensuring quick and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in products, services, and processes.
  • Develop strategies to increase customer retention and loyalty, including follow-up communications and repeat business incentives.

Startup Growth & Scalability:

  • Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and execute the company's growth strategy.
  • Provide insights from the market and customer feedback to inform product development.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and tools that can enhance sales efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to support the company's growth goals.

Team Building & Leadership:

  • Foster a collaborative and dynamic team environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create professional development plans for team members.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, commitment to quality, and a passion for customer success.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales revenue and growth rate
  • Customer acquisition and retention rates
  • Operational efficiency (e.g., order fulfillment times, inventory turnover)
  • Profit margins and cost management
  • Customer satisfaction scores

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and operations management, with a focus on the office furniture or related industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Proven success in a startup or high-growth environment, with experience scaling a business from the ground up.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic CRM software, ERP systems, and Google/Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and take on a hands-on approach when necessary.
