Auditing and Compliance Expertise

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring our accounting function adheres to the highest standards of auditing and compliance. This includes ensuring compliance with ASC 606, a crucial standard for recognizing revenue from contracts with customers. You'll draft technical memos, review contracts, book necessary journal entries, and suggest process improvements to optimize our order-to-cash process. Additionally, you'll partner closely with our Engineering team and Finance partners to drive enhancements in our billing processes, guaranteeing seamless interactions between departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure ASC 606 compliance through technical memo writing, contract reviews, and journal entry management
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to drive billing process enhancements
- Support customer invoicing cycles and participate in sales tax review and filing
- Reconcile revenue-related balance sheet items, ensuring US GAAP compliance
- Implement process improvements to maintain an audit-ready accounting function

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role demands 3+ years of accounting and/or audit experience, preferably in SaaS or usage-based revenue companies. Your expertise should include implementing ASC 606 requirements and working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software (QBO, Netsuite), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace are must-haves, along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
