Job Overview:
We seek a seasoned professional to fill the position of Partner Sales Manager, playing a pivotal role in our expanding Dell alliances organization.
Our partnerships with prominent OEMs, such as Dell, HPE, IBM, Lenovo, Ericsson, Cisco, Fujitsu, and others, aim to unlock the potential of open source solutions in software-defined landscapes. Our comprehensive portfolio, led by Ubuntu, provides the necessary tools for these partners to thrive.
By leveraging our strengths, this role will foster strong ties with Dell, increase market presence, drive business growth, and ensure effective partnership engagement.
The Partner Sales Manager will collaborate closely with both Dell and Canonical teams to promote Dell's understanding of open-source possibilities offered by Ubuntu. This individual will also be responsible for facilitating smooth communication between teams, fostering a culture of mutual respect, and pushing Dell towards higher levels of market share and revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Foster strategic partnerships with Dell, concentrating on growth and opportunity development
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for expansion
- Broaden industry recognition and adoption of Canonical's offerings through advanced marketing efforts
- Develop close working relationships with various stakeholders at Dell, including engineers and executives
- Nurture existing partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration
- Employ cutting-edge communication strategies to engage audiences and present ideas effectively
- Provide input on key company initiatives and programs, supporting overall success and growth
Requirements:
- At least several years of experience in sales management or similar fields
- Prior experience in building successful partnerships with external entities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results while maintaining adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Working knowledge of Linux, virtualization, containerization, and cloud technologies
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams effectively
- High level of credibility and familiarity with Dell products and services
- Capacity to navigate complex organizational structures and communicate effectively with decision-makers
